Jake’s dependable and calm demeanor makes him a natural teacher in his role at CIG. When he’s not putting out fires at the office, Jake finds himself up for anything spontaneous or out of the ordinary. If he wasn’t spending his days at CIG helping the world spin, he would be teaching – a job that brings on the challenge of helping others, while still leaving a lasting impact on people.
Jake is currently the project manager for the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) Bustang Outrider service and leads several of CDOT’s traffic safety campaigns, including The Heat Is On DUI-prevention campaign, Click It or Ticket seat belt campaign, and the Winter Wise winter driving campaign. As part of these campaigns, Jake oversaw the development of CDOT’s “Close the Gap” display, an 8-foot-tall seat belt display that represented the 23 unbuckled deaths in Weld County in 2016; as well as the Everyone Has a Reason to Buckle Up video series that showcased the reasons Coloradans wear seat belts; and the Winter Wise campaign rebrand; along with several The Heat Is On breathalyzer campaigns and activations such as the “Breathalyzer Brunch” in 2019.
Jake has also provided communication support for the US 34 Permanent Repairs project, Denver Urban Renewal Authority and Denver International Airport. Prior to working with CIG, Jake reported for the Boulder Daily Camera and Colorado Daily and operated audio productions for Mile High Sports Radio.
