Caitlin Hess
Caitlin is the kind of dedicated designer who is always ready to jump into a new challenge. For her, design isn’t just about making things look good; it’s a powerful way to use color, visuals and typography to share information and shape how people understand the world. She values design as the avenue to connect people with the information they need.
Her passion for combining communication and art led Caitlin to CIG, where she knew her work could directly help keep Coloradans informed about important updates across the state. Whether she’s illustrating a fun coloring page or organizing a technical fact sheet, Caitlin views every project as a chance to help the community. She believes the true measure of good design is its power to connect with the audience, making information accessible and beneficial to all. Her approach is rooted in the belief that design is never a selfish pursuit, it’s a dedicated commitment to the people it serves.
Before joining CIG, Caitlin received her Bachelor of Arts degree in graphic design from Iowa State University. She started her career at a small design firm in Iowa, where she created graphics for the university, government agencies and construction companies. These experiences gave her the skills to transform any concept into a compelling final product.
Away from her computer, Caitlin is often found exploring Colorado’s trails with her family, trying a new recipe in the kitchen, or unwinding with a good movie or book. It’s this mix of focused activity and relaxation that keeps her creative energy high and ready for the next challenge.
