Aubrey Cox
Combining the art of the pen with an unflagging curiosity, Aubrey brings an open mind, positive outlook and attentive eye for detail to his role at CIG. His fascination with the power of storytelling and how discrete parts blend to form complex systems naturally sparked his interest in the world of infrastructure communications.
Aubrey moved from his native home of Charlotte, North Carolina, to attend the University of Denver, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism. As a champion of student press, he honed his communication skills while leading the collegiate newspaper, the DU Clarion, successfully reviving the former print edition.
While in school, Aubrey stayed busy writing for any outlet that would let him. Publishing content for Rocky Mountain PBS, Westword and DU’s Ritchie School of Computer Science and Engineering helped strengthen his aptitude for the written word and sharpen his ability to translate complex subjects into clear messaging. Before joining CIG, Aubrey worked at the High Line Canal Conservancy, producing multimedia content and compelling stories for the historic recreational trail.
Outside of work, you might find Aubrey waging war against the machines in true Luddite fashion — climbing a mountain, reading under a tree or playing bluegrass tunes. Or you might find him losing that war by streaming the latest show or succumbing to the scroll. Ah, well … that’s just how the cookie crumbles.
