Valeria Torrealba

Born and raised in Maracaibo, Venezuela, Valeria brings her Venezuelan roots into her work and lifestyle — her versatility, adaptability and drive for excellence propelled her through the challenges of learning English and adapting herself to an entire new world outside of her South American bubble.

Valeria is fluent in Spanish and English and has ample experience in the journalism field. She has served as editor of her university’s student-run newspaper and freelanced for various newspapers in San Antonio. In her free time, she enjoys a good book and testing out new recipes in the kitchen — all accompanied by a warm cup of coffee, of course.

Having graduated with a Public Relations degree from Texas State University, Valeria hopes to utilize her newfound set of skills and implement them into the communications field. She assists with the Colorado Department of Transportation’s various safety campaigns.
