Who says summer is over after Labor Day? For CIGers, summer is not over until we throw a party! Contrary to common fashionista philosophy forbidding wearing white after Labor Day, on Sept. 21 we dressed up in white to celebrate summer one last time with our clients, friends and family.
The CIG Events team started party planning in early August to make sure everything went off without a hitch and not a single detail was forgotten. The “end of summer” theme was represented throughout the party, from tables covered in burlap and gingham, sunflower arrangements dispersed across the room and the smell of pulled pork and cornbread throughout the office.
CIG employees and clients enjoyed a casual BBQ and hors d’oeuvres, indoor yard games including mini-corn hole and put-put, a DIY photo booth and cocktails and other drinks as everyone bid adieu to the warmth of summer. And for those who couldn’t leave without satisfying their dessert craving, it was a sweet-tooth’s paradise that included personal mini-pies and an indoor s’more station. With an “Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy” (CIG’s signature vodka cocktail), a crisp rosé or craft brew in hand, the party also served as a great networking platform for all guests.
At the party’s end, we sent our guests home with mason jar glasses engraved with the CIG logo and well wishes for the colder months to come. Goodbye, summer!
