History
CIG was formed in May 2005 on the premise that there is a different and better way to provide public relations services. To this end, CIG employs the best of the best from their respective fields and has earned a reputation for high-level strategic communications and outstanding customer service.
The company is led by Karen Morales, a public relations professional with more than 20 years of local and national experience. Karen led the communication team that helped the $1.7 billion Transportation Expansion (T-REX) Project contractor team earn a 93 percent commuter approval rating in the Denver metro area and currently serves as communication counsel to the Regional Transportation District’s (RTD) $7.9 billion FasTracks transit buildout throughout the Denver metro region.
Karen set out to build a new kind of public relations firm, with employees who had both the experience and the desire necessary to spark change. We have assembled a team of professionals who each hold the unique distinction of working on both sides of the communication spectrum—media and public relations. Through our collective experience, the CIG team has been able to observe what works and what doesn’t when it comes to public relations and customer service. At CIG, we never stop asking the question: “What works best for each client?”
CIG team members bring with them a wide variety of client experience. From non-profit, government and corporate public relations to agency and private sector clients, the CIG team has worked on a wide range of public awareness campaigns, infrastructure projects, minority outreach campaigns and media programs that benefit Colorado.
A sampling of our team members’ past experience includes work performed on behalf of the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT), Regional Transportation District, T-REX Project, North I-25 EIS, CollegeInvest, On Command, Kiewit Construction, Kiewit Building Group, Cherokee’s redevelopment of the former Gates Rubber Factory site, Fischer Imaging, Bill Ritter for Governor, AndrewRomanoff.com, Exactis.com, Northern Colorado AIDS Project, Adams County, Denver Grand Prix, Centura Health, Baby Einstein, and the City of Broomfield.
